The Platform Path vs. Practice-Exam Sites: Passing the Test Isn't the Job
Practice-question sites can get you past the CSA exam. They cannot get you past the first technical interview, and that gap is exactly where most certified candidates get stuck.
Practice-exam and question-bank sites exist for one reason: pattern-matching your way to a passing score. Some are built from ServiceNow's own official practice exams; plenty of others are recycled, unofficial question sets that ServiceNow's own exam guidance explicitly warns against relying on, because questions get retired and the underlying platform changes release to release.
Even the honest version of this, a well-made, current practice-exam product, only ever optimizes for one moment: the 90 minutes you spend in front of Pearson's proctoring software.
What passing the exam this way actually proves
That you can recognize a correct answer among distractors under time pressure. That's a real, useful skill, and it's worth building. It is not the same skill as configuring an ACL, building a catalog item with a working approval flow, or explaining a transform map to someone who's about to bet a production migration on your answer. Those are the questions that show up after the resume filter, not on it.
Where this becomes the "paper tiger" problem
This is precisely the failure mode hiring managers describe: candidates who are certified and can't yet contribute. A memorized answer bank produces exactly that outcome, reliably, because it was never trying to produce anything else.
The actual trade-off
Practice questions have a place: as a final check before exam day, not as the curriculum. Treated as the whole plan, they get you a badge and leave the actual gap, the one between certified and hireable, completely untouched.
The Platform Path is being built around exactly this kind of a build you can defend, not a memorized answer bank. If you want in when doors open, the early-access waitlist is right here on this site.
